The story is about how the Great Spirit, hearing the pleas of the Native American people for fire sends Eagle, Deer, Chipmunk and other animals to take the fire from a far-away volcano through numerous adventures to finally be given to the native people.
The book's illustrations are beautiful original art work that was painted especially for the project by Frank Rainleaf. The book also contains a read along cd/book.
